‘People and organisations are becoming more and more specialised. They come together in teams or co-operative networks to recombine their knowledge and activities. I analyse how actors recombine to create new knowledge, particularly in the area of so-called ‘fluid’ organisations, where people can spontaneously and rapidly come together to work on projects, e.g. using dedicated internet platforms, and equally swiftly go their own ways after the job is done. Today, we are all confronted with the challenges and opportunities posed by blurring boundaries in a myriad of areas. Together with a research-focused, high-calibre team I intend to analyse this topic from a number of academic disciplines and make the resultant opportunities socially usable.’
