Professor Ingo Rohlfing, PhD

Prof. Ingo Rohlfing, PhD, received his PhD in Political Science from Jacobs University in Bremen in 2007. He holds the Chair for Methods of Empirical Social Research at the University of Passau since October 2022. In his research, he is working on enhancing the transparency and credibility of research results in the social sciences. He has set himself the goal of anchoring the idea of Open Science in his research and teaching at the University of Passau.

Heisenberg Professor: The transparency and credibility of empirical research

Professor Ingo Rohlfing, PhD, who holds the Chair of Methods of Empirical Social Research at the University of Passau, has been appointed Heisenberg Professor. The position is funded by the German Research Foundation (DFG) with the objective of assessing the transparency and credibility of quality research and is one of the most prestigious and highly endowed funding programmes.
