“Education.Space.Society: growing up in a digitised and increasingly differentiated society not only means that the conditions of our living space are constantly changing, but also sets particular requirements for the learning space of children and teenagers. Our group of researchers is dealing with the following questions: how must educational spaces be designed to, on the one hand, accommodate social changes and, on the other hand, take individual development pathways into consideration? What skills must teachers and pedagogical experts demonstrate when designing such an educational space? We are therefore researching spaces: physical and social. In the process, we are combining places of learning at school and outside school. On this basis, we are working with architects to develop a “transformational educational space.”
