"My research trip has been focusing on the integration of data across heterogeneous data sources keeping eyes on schema and ontology matching, entity resolution and data fusion. I started the scientific trip focusing on different structural data models, e.g. relational data and XML and RDF. Recently, my team and I aim to knowledge graphs from not only these structural data but also including unstructured data. In the dimension of used strategies, we started with rule-based and ad-hoc methods and recently we are focusing on the combination and semantic web and machine learning techniques. Along domain applications, we are developing approaches and techniques that can be adapted and deployed in a number of domains, such as biodiversity, agriculture or energy."
