The kick-off of the series will engage with Global Data Strategies and will take place at FREDI's home institution, the University of Passau on September 20th and 21st 2021. The second part of the series will take place in Accra, Ghana and will spotlight the developments of Data Law in Africa. Data Law in Africa is scheduled for fall 2022. Details with regard to date, location, and program will follow in the course of 2021.
The final part of the series, Comparative Data Law, will shift the focus and tackle Data Law from a Comparative Law perspective. Different instruments, different approaches, global effects of different kinds of regulation, and possible ways forward will be discussed. The conference is currently scheduled for March 2023. Details with regard to date, location, and program will follow soon.
It is planned that each conference will publish its contributions and findings.
