“I view Information Systems as an interdisciplinary science that aids companies and organisations with the economic use of information technologies and systems. Our field seeks to improve processes and operational procedures. This is becoming increasingly complex in the era of digitalisation: something that does not appear to cause any issues in an individual project generates a wealth of new phenomena and issues when multiplied with a large number of networked applications. One single field can no longer tackle all of this. It requires perspectives from and collaboration with other subject areas.”
